Captain Viridian, or just Viridian, is the player character and protagonist of VVVVVV. They are the captain of the D.S.S. Souleye, and take control of the situation when the ship crashes, exploring Dimension VVVVVV in search of their crew and a way to escape. Viridian is a cyan-coloured member of an unnamed humanoid alien species, and their gender is deliberately ambiguous and unspecified.
